During these months of pandemic caused by the COVID-19, fashion companies and other business dedicated to other sectors have redirected part of their resources and time to the design of masks. Also, many brands have commissioned to design their own corporate mask with the logo of the company or institution.
Some initiatives have not only been based on increasing the volume of its revenues, but also have sold masks -also called masks or mouth covers-, to raise funds for solidarity causes.
Some brands have launched personalized masks and exclusive designs whose sales are destined in a significant percentage to medical and nursing groups linked to the fight against COVID-19. For example during these months, Louis Vuitton has devoted part of his personnel, logistics and product resources to the manufacture of masks for healthcare workers.
Original and certified masks
Important brands in the fashion world -including those of haute couture-, have launched into the design of masks with fabrics of all types and the most striking and novel designs. Many people prefer reusable and washable masks.
But in this case, we shouldn’t just look at how they are designed. Health is paramount. There is no point in having an original mask that follows trends, if it doesn’t protect us from those who are infected with COVID19 and if it doesn’t protect other people in the case of infection or if we are asymptomatic.
The brands and trustworthy companies that are manufacturing this type of products comply with the recommendations of the health authorities and therefore, their masks will be approved. It’s advisable to use one of ffp2 type and over it, a fabric with a nice design. Ending the pandemic is everyone’s task.
