The health crisis provided by the COVID-19 coronavirus has caused many events to be cancelled or postponed. This pandemic has also affected the clothing sector, which holds catwalks and events of all kinds throughout the year. In March and April, many meetings dedicated to the fashion world have had to change their date in the agenda.
Among them those dedicated to bridal fashion. The wedding industry generates millions of euros in global profits and brands and garment companies work all year round to exhibit their collections in major cities such as New York, London, Madrid or Milan. The event “Sì Sposaitalia” was scheduled to take place in April in the city of Northern Italy.
In recent seasons the Italian bridal gateway has grown exponentially. It’s considered the most modern event for weddings, grooms, ceremonies and accessories. Its organizers have chosen to hold this event between 24 and 27 September 2020.

As its explained on the official website, business and creativity, tradition and new cultures are in symbiosis with the unique cosmopolitan climate of the Italian fashion capital. An event that this year celebrates its 43rd edition and that not only shows the most interesting trends in wedding dresses, but also in everything that surrounds men, women, children and accessories at a wedding.
Although thousands of weddings have been cancelled this spring and may be cancelled in the summer, many will not suspend their marriage commitments and will look for other dates by the end of 2020 and 2021. The bridal fashion sector continues working on designs and tailoring to regain its boom when health authorities allow it.
